IIM Indore Partners with Leading EdTech Platform to Launch Innovative Management Studies Programme

 

– Select batch of professionals constitute a unique cohort hailing across 15 states and 18 sectors; Institute receives 30 percent female enrollments

New Delhi : The Indian Institute of Management Indore, in collaboration with TimesPro – a leading Higher EdTech Platform, inaugurated its first batch of Post Graduate Degree in Management – Master of Management Studies (MMS). The batch was inaugurated by Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, on the campus. The two-year Online MMS programme is a flagship executive education offering of IIM Indore and provides an opportunity for professional advancement among working executives.

During the inauguration, Prof. Himanshu Rai emphasised the visionary essence of the MMS programme. Prof. Rai said that this programme epitomises our steadfast dedication to fostering future leaders, equipping them with the requisite knowledge, acumen, and leadership prowess to navigate organisations through the intricacies of a profoundly VUCA world. Prof. Rai highlighted the blend of academic rigour and practical learning opportunities the programme offers, setting a new standard for executive education. “The proficiencies acquired by the learners during this programme shall prove profoundly critical and indispensable in navigating the uncertainties of the global landscape,” he added. Earlier, Professor Subin Sudhir, Associate Dean-Executive Education (Virtual), extended a warm welcome to the incoming batch at its Indore campus, acquainting them with the distinguished faculty. Bringing the event to a close, Professor Nishit Kumar Sinha, Coordinator of EMP-MMS, delivered the concluding address.

The Master of Management Studies programme endeavours to develop learners’ cross-functional and leadership competencies, enabling them to become adept in business management, financial and technological matters commensurate with the emerging requisites of Industry 4.0. Moreover, it seeks to foster strategic insight, an indispensable asset within the ever-evolving business ecosystem. The inaugural cohort comprises professionals hailing from 15 states and spanning approximately 18 sectors, encompassing IT, BFSI, Construction & Manufacturing, Automotive, Metallurgy, Hospitality, Sales & Marketing, Oil & Energy, HR, Operations, among others. 

A total of 80 participants were admitted to the maiden MMS batch, out of which 30 percent were female professionals. Among these learners, 44 percent bring to bear industry experience ranging between 5 and 15 years or more. The learners were selected through a rigorous screening process, culminating in an interview, ensuring the admission of candidates with exemplary qualifications and potential.

The programme will be conducted via TimesPro’s state-of-the-art Interactive Learning (IL) platform and delivered in Direct-to-Device (D2D) mode. Learners shall have the opportunity to participate in a 12-day immersion programme at the institution during the first and sixth semesters. The Master of Management Studies offers learners the chance to specialise in modules encompassing Economics, Communications, Finance & Accounting, Information Systems, OB & HR, OM & QT, Strategy, Humanities & Social Sciences. The programme seamlessly integrates a cutting-edge curriculum with real-world case studies, simulations, interactive learning experiences, etc.
