IIM Kashipur successfully conducts School Lit Fest 2019
Kashipur: The Literary Club of IIM Kashipur successfully conducted School Lit Fest 2019 on November 26th on the occasion of Constitution Day and National Education Day under directives from MHRD, Govt. of India. The event saw participation from The Gurukul Foundation School, DAV Public School, Little Scholars School, Shemford School, and Shri Guru Nanak Senior Secondary School.
The guest for the inaugural ceremony was Prof. Vaibhav Bhamoriya who spoke about the importance of reading and how the constitution helps in the governance of a country. The guest for the closing ceremony was Prof. Devjani Chatterjee who spoke about the need to be aware of the society and the changes around us.
As part of the event Debate, Essay Writing and Quiz competitions were conducted. The topics for debate were India is an inclusive democracy and Freedom of speech should be absolute. The topic for essay writing was Reforms required in the Indian education system and the quiz was based on general awareness about India, Constitution, and Literature. Judges for the day were Ms. Sana Fatima Arshad, Mr. Sarat Sastry, and Mr. Akhilesh Butola. Little Scholars School emerged as the winner of the event and the runners up were The Gurukul Foundation School.
