IIM Kashipur trains IAS Officers
Kashipur: IIM Kashipur conducted a two-day training programme for IAS Officers from September 30 to October 01, 2019 in its Kundeshwari Campus. The program was designed by IIM Kashipur in association with R S Tolia Academy of Administration, Nainital.
The training programme covered topics related to project financing and private-public partnership. Six IAS Officers (on training) of Uttarakhand cadre – Ms Akansha Verma, Mr Anshul Singh, Ms Apurva Pandey, Mr Manish Kumar, Mr Prateek Jain and Mr Vishal Mishra, participated in the program.
Speaking on the valedictory function of the program, Prof Kulbhusan Balooni, Director IIM Kashipur highlighted the importance of careful Social Cost-Benefit Analysis of the public projects to ensure efficient allocation of public funds for maximum social welfare. He emphasized that IIM Kashipur will play an active role in the development of Uttarakhand state. It is the top agenda of the institute.
IIM Kashipur’s two Centres of Excellence (CoEs) – Centre of Excellence in Public Policy and Government and Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Development – have undertaken numerous training, research, and consultancy. It’s recently established Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (FIED), and Design Innovation Centre (DIC) are dedicated to the development of Uttarakhand.
