IIM Kozhikode also created history this year by upsetting the long established Top 3 order of IIMs in the country by displacing IIM Calcutta to bag career-best Rank #3 in the acclaimed NIRF Rankings released by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Year 2023 was another landmark year for this top Indian B-school as it made its debut in the globally renowned Financial Times (FT) Rankings, in Open Enrolment Executive Education Category at Rank #72, among top 75 institutes that made the cut globally.

In his Foundation Day address to the IIMK community, Mr. Sunil Kataria, CEO Raymond Lifestyle (India & International), appreciated IIM Kozhikode’s Institutional Vision 2047 of Globalizing Indian Thought. He drew 6 major life learnings from his own tumultuous but rewarding corporate career. He encouraged the students to battle their fears and be gritty in their approach to tackle challenges head on in both personal as well as professional lives.

Director IIM Kozhikode, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, in his address congratulated the members of IIMK community and said “IIMK has come a long way in these twenty seven to now become an institution of national eminence and global impact. 2023 has been a special year for us as the Institute upset the long-standing ‘ABC’ order of IIMs to rejig it as ‘ABK’ in NIRF rankings and also a year in which IIMK made its debut in Financial Times Rankings. Greater challenges await us and with our vision of Globalizing Indian Thought deeply rooted in Authenticity (Satyam), Nityam (Sustainability) and Purnam (Fulfilment); IIMK’s remarkable and innovative journey will continue to rewrite history. As an institute we are committed to playing our part in realising the government of India’s Vision for 2047 – a developed and self-reliant India. A landmark year in which independent India will complete a glorious 100 years and IIM Kozhikode completes 50 years in service of the nation.”

The Institute also felicitated 6 senior faculty and staff members who completed 15 years of service at IIMK and thanked them for their invaluable contribution.
