New Delhi: IIM Kozhikode (IIMK) has secured Rank #3 in the prestigious NIRF India Rankings 2024: Management, released today by the Ministry of Education. The ‘India Rankings Report for 2024’ was unveiled by the Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan during a ceremony at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today.
IIM Kozhikode has achieved its career-best Rank #3 for the second consecutive year, continuing its remarkable ascent after breaking into the Top 3 for the first time in 2023, when it displaced older, legacy IIMs.
Expressing his delight over this significant achievement, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director IIMK shared “It is a rare privilege to be ranked ahead of legacy institutions two years in a row and to be counted among the top 3 in the country. Congratulations to the entire IIM Kozhikode community for their unwavering commitment to providing world-class management education. We remain dedicated to fostering excellence and innovation in the field of academics and inspiring change among the business schools in India.”
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), introduced by the Ministry of Education in 2015, is considered the most authoritative ranking in India. It outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country, based on parameters such as Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR, 30%), Research and Professional Practice (RP, 30%), Graduation Outcomes (GO, 20%), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI, 10%), and Perception (PR, 10%).
IIM Kozhikode, one of the fastest-growing IIMs in the country, has continued its forward momentum with an overall score improvement from 74.74 in 2022 to 76.48 in 2023, and now to 77.90 in 2024—significantly closing the gap with the much older IIMs.
