IIM Lucknow Announces Radhakrishnan Gopalan Young Faculty Researcher Award

 

Lucknow : Indian Institute of Management Lucknow is pleased to announce the establishment of the Radhakrishnan Gopalan Young Faculty Researcher endowment, initiated by the IIM Lucknow Batch of 1996.

 

With an initial corpus of approximately INR 75 lakhs and an annual award value of INR 7,00,000; this award aims to recognize and encourage young faculty researchers at IIM Lucknow.

 

At the inaugural ceremony, Dean Faculty, Professor Ajay Garg welcomed the gathering and shared the details of the initiative. Director, Professor Archana Shukla expressed her heartfelt gratitude and commended the batch of 1996 and friends of Late Radhakrishnan Gopalan for their generous initiative.

 

We were honoured to have Mr. Ravi Thota and Mr. Satya from batch 1996 join us in person along with several batchmates who joined online, including Ms. Nithya Easwaran, a distinguished member of the Board of Governors at IIM Lucknow. Vijay Yerramilli, a respected batchmate, co-author, and Professor of Finance at Houston, also shared his insights and perspectives, adding depth and significance to the event.

 

Additionally, we were privileged to have Mr. Radhakrishnan’s brother, Jay Gopalan, present on this significant occasion. This endowment, with a tenure of eleven years, reflects our unwavering dedication to promoting research and academic achievement at IIM Lucknow.

 

The institute applauds the Batch of 1996 for its initiative in establishing this prestigious award, which not only recognizes academic excellence but also empowers young faculty members to further their impactful research at IIM Lucknow. We eagerly anticipate the achievements of the future recipients of the Radhakrishnan Gopalan Young Faculty Researcher Award. The award will be granted annually to a deserving faculty member who meets specific eligibility criteria.

The Award will be announced on 25th September every year which happens to be the birthday of Late Mr. Radhakrishnan Gopalan.
