IIM Lucknow gracefully wraps up Manfest-Varchasva 2023-24 with the esteemed virtual presence of Shri Piyush Goyal

Lucknow, 12th February 2024: The culmination of Manfest-Varchasva 2023-24, the student-organized event at the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, marked a resounding success, with attendees immersed in three days of vibrant festivities and excitement. Drawing participation from over 30,000 students, this annual confluence of business, cultural, and sports activities garnered notable attention.

 

The event’s distinguished guest, Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Cabinet Minister of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India, delivered an impactful address, inspiring students with insights into India’s current landscape and future developmental trajectory. Emphasizing the imperative of collaboration between academia and governance for sustainable growth and global influence, he underscored the pivotal role of institutions like IIMs in nurturing leadership and innovation.

 

Reflecting the institute’s commitment to sustainability, the event was inaugurated by Prof. Archana Shukla, Director of IIM Lucknow, alongside Mr. Rajendra Singh, renowned as the ‘Water Man of India’ for his environmental advocacy.

 

The event featured a rich lineup of speakers, including Mr. Rohit Kumar, Co-founder of The Quantum Hub, who shared wisdom on leadership and innovation. Competitions such as Imperio, Joust, and Rohan showcased diverse talents and skills, while sports enthusiasts engaged in various competitions spanning 13 sports.

 

The second day was particularly remarkable, featuring insightful discussions from distinguished speakers including Nick Bostrom, Professor at the University of Oxford, Nitin Seth, Co-founder and CEO of Incedo Inc., and esteemed IIM Lucknow alumnus, along with Mr. Armstrong Pame, an IAS Officer renowned as the ‘Miracle Man’ of India.

 

Over the three days, 250 students also participated in the Model United Nations (MUN) competition, engaging in stimulating debates on global and national issues. As the event concluded, participants departed with cherished memories and renewed inspiration for sustainability, civic engagement, arts, and culture.

 

The event reached its grand finale with the Bollywood Night, showcasing a mesmerizing performance by renowned singer Jubin Nautiyal. His soulful renditions enthralled the audience, providing a memorable conclusion to Manfest-Varchasva 2023-24 with an unforgettable musical journey.
