Lucknow, 07-June-2023: The new MBA program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation launched by Indian Institute of Management Lucknow aims to provide potential entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and industry exposure to successfully launch and operate their own venture. This is a first-of-its-kind 16-month MBA program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation launched by IIM Lucknow is a focused, intense, practical program with the sole objective of allowing students to envision, design, build, and launch their own venture. The curriculum has been curated for individuals who want to become entrepreneurs, launching and managing their own venture and taking it to great heights. The MBA (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) program at IIM Lucknow is designed with a curriculum philosophy and pedagogy that focuses on two main components:
· Emphasizing Entrepreneurial Knowledge and Skills (50%)
· Incorporating Industry Inputs, Immersion, and Mentorship (50%)
Speaking about the first-of-its-kind MBA program from an IIM, Prof. Archana Shukla, Director, IIM Lucknow, said, “IIM Lucknow has cultivated a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem with the establishment of two successful incubators. The MBA – E & I program takes advantage of this ecosystem and further enhances it. What sets this program apart is its distinctive approach to admission and curriculum philosophy, which prioritizes skill development and seeks to unleash the entrepreneurial spirit.”
The program will comprise of five modules including Problem Articulation, Go to Market, and Fund Raising, as well as a 3-month internship with an entrepreneur or venture capitalist. In addition, students will benefit from one-on-one mentorship by alumni entrepreneurs. IIM Lucknow fosters a dynamic entrepreneurial culture and has a thriving community of over 600 alumni entrepreneurs, along with other alumni working in related fields such as venture capitalists, angel investors, and consultants. The MBA E&I program is a further addition to the Institute’s rich ecosystem for entrepreneurship.

Within the IIML campus, there are two incubators situated at the Noida campus: the SCI-FI Incubator and the L-Incubator. These incubators are dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and provide a range of resources and amenities. These include an Artificial Intelligence lab equipped with a supercomputer, co-working spaces, and dedicated helpdesks for addressing finance and legal matters.
