IIM Nagpur Signs MoU with MTI, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) for Academic Collaboration

New Delhi: IIM Nagpur has signed an MoU with the Management Training Institute (MTI), Ranchi of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), for academic collaboration, yesterday. The MoU formalities were completed by Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, Director of IIM Nagpur and Shri Sanjay Dhar, Chief General Manager (HR-L&D), MTI, SAIL in the presence of the dignitaries of SAIL – Shri Amarendu Prakash, Chairman; Shri V.S. Chakravarthy, Director (Commercial); Shri A.K. Tulsiani, Director (Finance); Shri K.K. Singh, Director (Personnel); and Shri S.N. Gupta, CVO.
On this momentous occasion, Dr. Metri said, “Since SAIL has an ambitious plan, going forward, the partnership with IIM Nagpur will definitely act as a catalyst to the contribution and growth of the Maharatna company.” This MoU is an important and historic step toward excellence, under which IIM Nagpur will provide valuable academic exposure to the SAIL executives and help them grow in their leadership journey. Through this MoU, IIM Nagpur will facilitate the conducting of a customized Management Development Programme for the SAIL executives by the eminent Faculty members of the Institute.
IIM Nagpur has been collaborating with reputed companies and organizations for various customized Management Development Programmes that train executives at different levels for their overall training and academic excellence. The Learning & Development (L&D) strategy of SAIL equally promotes such collaborations, including the one held with IIM Nagpur, as part of the latter’s overall strategy to ensure the best possible training for their executives.
This MoU between IIM Nagpur and MTI, SAIL is a step forward in the new collaboration between the two. The Directors & In-charges of different SAIL plants joined through video conferencing while the MoU signing formalities were completed with Dr. Metri, promising mutual rewards and growth.
