IIM Shillong celebrated India’s 73rd Independence Day

Shillong : Celebrating the spirit of freedom, IIM Shillong celebrated India’s 73rd Independence Day with full fervour and zeal. Prof. D.P. Goyal, Director of IIM Shillong, unfurled the tricolour at the Mayurbhanj Complex and talked about the actual meaning of independence and also about how fortunate we all are to have been born in a free India. He went on to commemorate all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their life for love of the motherland. Taking an optimistic view ahead, he said, “We have achieved a lot of milestones and there is still a long way to go.” He also stressed on how all the stakeholders of IIM Shillong, an institute of national importance, we have the onus of making sure that we take the legacy of this great nation forward.
The event culminated with a reinvigorated sense of pride and patriotism among the students.
