IIM Tiruchirappalli hosts the inauguration of the Post Graduate Certificate in Senior Management Programme (PGCSMP) Batch-02  

The Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli inaugurated its 2nd Postgraduate Certificate in Senior Management Program batch on 28th April 2024. The event was graced by Shri. Ayush Gupta, Director (Human Resources), GAIL (India) Limited, as the chief guest; Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe, Chairman & MD, M/s Jaro Education; Prof. Upam Pushpak Makhecha and Prof. Naresh G, Prof. V Gopal, program directors, and Dean (Academics) & Director (Acting).

The Chief Guest, Shri. Ayush Gupta, extended congratulations and emphasized the importance of setting clear career goals driven by passion. He highlighted the value of diverse peer learning, noting how learning from peers with varied educational backgrounds enriches the academic journey, particularly through approaches such as group projects and class participation. Ayush underscored the significance of understanding aspirations, teamwork, and the program’s focus on sustainability and innovation. Drawing from his experiences at GAIL, he shared insights on leadership, emphasizing the preparation for challenges and the benefits of experimentation. Ayush concluded by stressing the value of problem-solving skills in navigating professional landscapes.

In his address, Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe congratulated everyone for their focus and determination. He emphasized the importance of mastering all subjects while excelling in one’s domain and adapting to others. Sanjay highlighted the primacy of human capital, ethical leadership, and networking, wishing all participants success in their learning journey.

Prof. Gopal discussed the array of programs offered at IIM Trichy in his address, emphasizing innovative delivery models to reach diverse segments of the Indian population. He expressed gratitude for GAIL’s support, thanked the chief guest for their time, and warmly welcomed all attendees.

Prof. Upam Pushpak Makhecha, in her welcome address, extended a warm welcome to the chief guest and all dignitaries present. She provided a comprehensive program overview, discussing its duration, coverage, and the foundational subjects. She also elaborated on the campus module and congratulated the participants for taking this significant step in their educational journey.

Prof. Naresh G proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants. The event concluded with the national anthem.
