IIM Tiruchirappalli inaugurated the second batch of Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Business Analytics and Applications (PGCBAA)
Tiruchirappalli: IIM Trichy inaugurated the Second Batch of the Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Business Analytics and Applications (PGCBAA) on September 26, 2021. The 13-months long-duration programme will be offered in a device-to-device mode in association with our delivery partner, Jaro Education. The PGCBAA is designed to help working professionals learn the required skills and knowledge for asking meaningful questions, addressing it with analysis of data, and making decisions with insights gained from the analysis.
Dr. Nalini Guhesh, Managing Director, Network Analytics Team at Ogilvy was the Chief Guest. Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director, IIM Tiruchirappalli, Dr. Prashant Gupta (Chairperson, Executive Education & Consulting), Prof. Bipin Kumar Dixit (Programme Director), Prof Vinu CT (Programme Director), Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe (Founder, MD, Jaro Education), faculty members of IIM Trichy, and 158 participants of the PGCBAA Batch 02 participated in the inaugural event.
Dr. Prashant Gupta, Chairperson (EEC) welcomed the PGCBAA (Batch 02) to the programme. Prof. Bipin Kumar Dixit provided an overview of the programme and shed light on the diverse batch profile.
Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director, IIM Tiruchirappalli, explained the role of Management in Business Analytics. The program gives equal weightage to Mathematics and Language. He has reminded the participants that the diversity of their backgrounds and experience will add more value to them and the program.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Nalini Guhesh, in her address highlighted the recent development in marketing analytics. She emphasized that the best result of business analytics is achieved by combining data, technology, strategy, and creativity. She advised that the participants make use of their experience and network to learn efficiently during the program.
Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe, emphasized the importance of continuous learning, upskilling, and networking for working executives to grow multifold in their careers.
Prof Vinu CT proposed the vote of thanks by acknowledging all the stakeholders of the event.
