IIM Trichy inaugurates the first batch of Strategic Leadership Development Programme for Unit Heads and Group Heads of NLC India Limited

Trichy:  The Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli inaugurated the first batch of Strategic Leadership Development Programme for Senior Executives comprising of General Managers and Chief General Managers of Unit Heads and Group Heads of NLC India Limited on 13th March 2022. The three-day programme is being held from March 13th to 15th 2022 and is designed to help working professionals navigate in the VUCA world and take strategic decisions to stay at par with the digital changes. This is the first offline executive programme conducted by IIM Trichy, after more than two years of online programmes due to the pandemic.

The event began with a lamp lighting ceremony followed by an address by the Programme Director, Prof. Prashant Gupta. He welcomed guests and participants to the inauguration function and provided them with a brief understanding of the programme and its content. This programme intends to cover an understanding of technology and AI for Strategic Finance and Strategic Management for problem solving and decision-making and problem-solving. The programme also aims at understanding how leaders in different organsiations take decisions keeping in mind the various growth paths followed and analysing the project done.

The chief guest, Mr. Sathiamoorthy P. CGM HR – NLC India, then addressed the gathering. He spoke about organizations in the present-day context and how every business is facing challenges with regards to leadership, culture, and machine alike. He mentioned that the motive of this programme lies in exploring strategic ways to solve these issues and ways to tackle newer challenges. He expressed gratitude for the learning opportunity and gracefully received a token of remembrance from the Programme Directors.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Jang Bahadur Singh, Programme Director. The inaugural event concluded with the National Anthem.
