IIM Vishakhapatnam winners of MCX IPF COMQUEST 2020

Vishakhapatnam: MCX Investor Protection Fund (MCX-IPF) organised COMQUEST 2020 – the second edition of national level Commodity Market Educational quiz towards imparting knowledge and generate interest on commodity markets among the student community. This year’s competition saw participation from more than 176 institutes & more than 5,500 students across India. The Grand finale of this year’s COMQUEST quiz was today held at Mumbai University campus in Kalina, Santacruz, Mumbai. Mumbai University was our Knowledge partners. The Finals was won by Indian Institute of Management-Visakhapatnam.

COMQUEST was the journey conceived & took shape in 2019 with an aim to promote knowledge and awareness about commodity derivatives markets among youth & the student community particularly, who will be tomorrow’s leaders and CEOs of India Inc. This platform created by MCX IPF has enabled thousands of students to get connected with the Commodity ecosystem and understand the crucial role played by the exchanges in creating the value chain in the financial markets. The event is part of an ongoing awareness campaign of MCX IPF to spread financial literacy in the commodity market space.

The six teams that reached the finals are International Management Institute (IMI) Delhi; Indian Institute of Management-Nagpur; Indian Institute of Management-Visakhapatnam; K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai; National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM) Faridabad; Symbiosis Centre for Management & Human Resource Development (SCMHRD) Pune.

In the second edition of MCX IPF COMQUEST, there were three rounds held over last one month & winners in the finale were felicitated with medals & trophies.

Mr. P. S. Reddy, MD and CEO, MCX said “With more than 5,500 students from 176 academic institutions participating in this novel initiative we were able to take this awareness on commodity markets in pan India in an inquisitive way.”
