IIMC Entrance Exam Written Test Results Declared
New Delhi: Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) today declared the results of its 2019 batch entrance examination written test for various Post Graduate Diploma courses. A total of 1,365 candidates out of 5,839 applicants have been declared successful in the written test. The details can be accessed at www.iimc.gov.in
The Group Discussion and Interviews will be held between 1st to 5th July 2019 in New Delhi for PG Diploma courses in English Journalism, Hindi Journalism, Urdu Journalism, Radio & TV Journalism and Advertising & Public Relations. GD and Interviews for PG Diploma in Odia, Marathi and Malayalam will be held in Dhenkanal (Odisha), Amravati (Maharashtra) and Kottayam (Kerala) respectively on the dates notified by the Regional Centres.
There are a total of 476 seats on offer across 8 PG Diploma Courses in New Delhi, Dhenkanal, Aizawl, Jammu, Amravati and Kottayam for which the admission is granted through the National level entrance examination comprising a written test, group discussion and interview. It is customary to call 3 to 3.5 times the number of seats for the GD / Interview. The final results will be declared around July 15th and the academic session would begin on 29th July 2019.
For the academic year 2019-20, IIMC has introduced the 10% EWS quota as mandated by the government. Reservation of seats as per government rules is available for OBC, SC, ST and PwD categories.
IIMC, established by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India in 1965, is a premier institute of mass communication teaching, training and research, often ranked Number 1 institution in the country across multiple surveys. It is also the training academy of the Indian Information Service. The Institute is now in the process of becoming a Deemed University under the De Novo Category.
