Gandhinagar: The excitement and tempo at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) is going high as the students of the Institute are all set to host Blithchron’22 in hybrid mode. The online events will take place on the March 19 and the on-campus events will take place on March 20, 2022.
Blithchron is the annual cultural festival of the Institute and it is back to create new memories live on the IITGN campus. Being a completely student-run festival, Blithchron is an amalgamation of the creativity and energy of a team of around 130 students from the entire community. Every year, Blithchron introduces a variety of competitions and provides a stage to talented artists from all over the country. This edition of Blithchron is one of the first college festivals to take place in offline mode in Gujarat after the pandemic.
Blithchron’22 is hosting a variety of online and offline events in a hybrid mode. Reverb – a one of its kind EDM/Remix making competition; Skirmish – a tournament that tests your Valorant and BGMI (a video game) mastery; Antaragnee – an on-campus Nukkad Natak competition; and Quizzitch- a fandom quiz, are a few of the events being conducted in the fest. Apart from them, there are many more competitions that will motivate new dancers, poets, singers, photographers etc. to do their best and earn rewards. Students from all over India are also going to visit IITGN campus, stay here for a couple of days, and participate in the events.
The two-day hybrid fest is planned to end with a blast in the form of an EDM and DJ night opened by the extremely talented Vice and Virtue followed by the main act by the DJ and producer TEJAS that is open for all. Numerous students from the Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad area plan to be a part of this event to fill the void in the college life that the Covid pandemic had created.
Around 1500+ participants have registered for Blithchron’22 from IITs, NITs, and many private institutions all over India and many will be visiting the IITGN campus on the D-Day.
