IIT Hyderabad based Start-Up forays into Solar Power on big scale by forging alliance with My Home Group
Hyderabad: My Home Group of Companies signed an MoU with PuREnergy, a technology start-up evolving from IIT – Hyderabad Incubation Centre on Monday, 29th May 2017. PuREnergy has stepped on the gas as a catalyst for the nation’s green energy initiative and has taken the plunge to design smart hybrid solar energy solutions for industrial, commercial and residential users.
This alliance will execute joint projects in the areas of smart and innovative solar systems; Internet of Things (IoT) based energy management, health monitoring/diagnosis of solar plants, skill development and R & D activities. This would create significant value addition to the solar industry with following differentiators.
Customized Hybrid and Cost-Effective Solutions, Quicker Return on Investment (RoI) for end-users, State-of-the Art and Durable Systems, and reducing the Land Consumption for Solar Systems’. My Home Power will focus on Project management part while PuREnergy, supported by IIT Hyderabad, will focus on design and development part.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Rameswar Rao Jupally, Chairman of My Home Group, said “Our Group is committed to developing sustainable projects. With this motive, we have partnered with PuREnergy for providing smart and innovative solar systems. I am confident this project will go a long way in supporting the vision of the Government of India towards the implementation of Green Energy and Sustainable development and to achieve the target set up by GOI by the year 2022.”
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Nishanth Dongari, Founder of PuREnergy and Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, IIT Hyderabad, said “We have taken this initiative to build smarter and greener buildings on a massive scale for a safer and a better future for this country. Our present focus is on residential and commercial projects to complement the Smart City programmes. We have plans to enter into large scale utility projects in the upcoming solar parks across the nation”.
