IIT (ISM) Dhanbad offers seven Executive Masters Programme for working executives; programmes offered in online/hybrid mode at Kolkata and Delhi Center of IIT (ISM) tailored to enhance the leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities and business acumen

Kolkata : Five Departments of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad offering seven Executive Master’s program of 2 and 3 years for working Executives/Academicians in order to improve their technical aptitude/expertise in relevant area.

This includes, two programs of 2 to 3 years, including one Executive M Tech Program in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science offered by Computer Science & Engineering Department and another of Reservoir Engineering of Petroleum Engineering Department.

This apart, three M Tech program of 3 years duration each, out of which two of Electrical Engineering includes  one program in Power System Engineering and other in Power Electronics and Electrical Drives and one Executive M Tech program is in Mechanical Engineering.

Besides five Executive M Tech programs two MBA programs are also offered by Department Management Studies and Industrial Engineering, which includes one Executive MBA Program and other Executive MBA (Business Analytics) Program.

The aim of all seven Executive Master’s Program is to train the students in high level of knowledge enabling them to tackle real life problems in the field of Industry as well to help them to excel in higher academics through research.

Three Executive M Tech Programs of 3 years duration each

Three M Tech Programs of 3 Years duration, including two programs of Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power System Engineering (30 Seats) and Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (30 Seats) and One Program of Mechanical Engineering (50 Seats) which  are  meant for working professionals from Government Organizations/reputed industrial organization/academic institutions and are slow pace programs without compromising the course structure or contents are aimed to help  the working executives/academicians to improve their technical aptitude as they opt for higher degree as a regular student within the existing pace of program with some time expansion to promote completion of the program.

Executives/Academicians/Supervisors with one year’s post qualification experience from reputed industrial/R&D, Academic institutes, public sector government, semi government and reputed private sectors having minimum 60% CGPA/CPI of 6 in 10 Point Scale in qualifying degree for UR/OBC Candidates are eligible to apply for program while for SC/ST candidates with 50% of CGPA/CPI of 5.0 in 10 point scale in qualifying degree is required to apply.

Two Executive M Tech Programs of 2 years duration each

For two Executive M Tech programs of 2to 3 years, including one of M Tech in Artificial Engineering & Data Science) (30 Seats) of Computer Science Engineering Department and M Tech in Reservoir Engineering (30 seats) of Petroleum Engineering Department, working professionals with minimum two years of experience with B Tech in Engineering or M Sc with 60% marks of CGPA or 6.0 are eligible to apply.

Two Executive MBA Programs of 2 years duration each.

For two Executive MBA programs including, Executive MBA (100 seats) and Executive MBA (Business Analytics) (100 seats) 35 seats each of both the programs are available at Delhi and Kolkata Centre of IIT (ISM) while 30 seats each for both  are available IIT (ISM) Dhanbad main campus.

Executives/Supervisors/Entrepreneurs of post qualification of one year experience from reputed industrial/R&D public sector, government, semi government and reputed private organizations with Bachelor’s Degree after 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized institute with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST and Persons with Disability) from a recognized institute are Eligible for Executive MBA.

For Executive MBA (Business Analytics), the Executives/Supervisors/Entrepreneurs of post qualification of one year experience from reputed industrial/R&D public sector, government, semi government and reputed private organizations with B Tech/BE Degree/B Sc (Mathematics, Statistics as one subjects) from a recognized institution with 50% in aggregate or 5.0 CGPA (45% in case of SC/ST and PD) candidates are eligible.
