IIT Madras Alumni Releases book inspired by her time on Campus

Chennai: Indian Institute of Technology Madras Alumni Ms. Rituparna Ghosh has released a book inspired by time on campus. An Alumni of the 2005 batch from the Department of Management Studies (DOMS), her novel ‘Unloved in Love’ deals with the emotional turmoil students go through while choosing between relationships and career. The book is being published by one of India’s fastest growing publishing houses, Readomania, founded by Mr. Dipankar Mukherjee, also an IIT Madras Alumni from DOMS.

The book was launched on 3rd December 2019 by Prof. G. Arun Kumar, Head, Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras. During the launch, a conversation was also held between the author and another IITian Ms. Nithya Rajagopal.

Speaking about the book, Prof Arun Kumar said, “I have seen Rituparna as a student, as a professional and now am seeing her as an author. It is an incredible story of personal growth and am glad she has come back to her alma mater to start her new journey.”

Ms. Rituparna Ghosh did her MBA from IIT Madras and graduated in 2005. She went on to work in research and analytics for almost ten years, before focusing on other avenues. She currently is an author and also works as a Transformational Life coach. She lives in the U.K and holds a diploma in novel writing from London School of Journalism.

Speaking about the experience on campus that inspired her to write this book, Ms. Rituparna Ghosh said,“The two years in IIT has been the best in my life. The whole experience has not only taught me business acumen, but also fundamentals to living life. It is indeed a proud moment for me to come back to my alma mater and launch my first book.”
