Mr. Aman Jain, Overall Student Placement Coordinator, IIT Mandi, who got offers from companies including Toppr, Service Now and CodeNation, said, “The programming culture at IIT Mandi has been very good in the past few years. Also, the course curriculum is changing now which helps us to focus more on technical skills in the initial years of BTech which helps a lot in increasing your skills and getting placed at good companies. This will definitely increase much more in the coming years with constant efforts from the quality of teaching by the faculty members as well as due to support from the administration. Also this year we saw large number of companies visiting the campus for placements. A maximum of one or two companies are scheduled on a single day which helps reduce students’ stress as they are not required to give interviews of multiple companies on the same day At the same time students can be much more relaxed when they know that more good companies are lined up on coming days. This reduces tension and helps in better performance during interviews.”
