IIT Roorkee to organize the Annual Entrepreneurship Festival – E-Summit 2020

Roorkee: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee is going to organize its Annual Entrepreneurship Festival – E-Summit 2020- a networking hub for corporates, professionals, students and budding entrepreneurs from all across the nation- between 1st – 2nd February 2020 to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship, and to inspire the leaders and problem solvers of today and tomorrow.

In today’s world, entrepreneurs are at the spearhead of solving the world’s problems and entrepreneurship is probably one of the most celebrated professions across the globe. The management team of the summit aspires to provide the participants with the best possible experience, opportunities and an avenue to enrich themselves with knowledge about the entrepreneurial world.

The theme for this year’s edition is, ‘Disruption Dilemma’. In a startup journey there are three major stages: 0, 1 and n. At 0, its just a beginning and one’s idea is all one has. At 1, one has a startup established. At n, one’s startup is expanding and scaling-up. In the journey from 0 to 1, one hopes to create something that would impact society in a huge way. A person wants to disrupt the usual flow of the way things work. In the journey from 1 to n, every startup while scaling-up faces a lot of disruptions. With these constant disruptions it becomes difficult to keep on innovating. This year, team E-Summit explores the ways to deal with these Dilemmas of Disruption and tries to inspire and prepare the next wave of Indian Entrepreneurs who know how to create impact and keep on innovating.

Prof. Ajit K. Chaturvedi, Director IIT Roorkee said, “I am delighted that our Institute is organizing the Annual Entrepreneurship Festival – E-Summit 2020.
