Ilaj Bit Tadbeer doctors provide specialised services in health camp

 

Aligarh : A mobile team of doctors and postgraduate students from the Department of Ilaj Bit Tadbeer, Faculty of Unani Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) provided free specialized health services and distributed medicines to 450 students and staff members of the Alfiya Public School, Shahjamal in a Health Camp to observe the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

The camp was organised in line with the ‘Hamara AYUSH Hamara Swasthya’ initiative of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), Ministry of AYUSH.

“School students were assessed on their nutritional status, growth rate and body mass index. Free medicines were distributed to needy students, teachers and non-teaching staff of the school. Some of them were also referred for specialised treatments at the Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, AMU”, said Prof Mohd Anwar (Chairman, Department of Ilaj Bit Tadbeer).

He stressed: “These camps make sure people are getting healthcare at the right time, and seeing the doctor early enough before a small health problem turns serious”.

Dr M Shoaib (Camp In-charge) spoke on the importance of hand hygiene and healthy food habits.

He also provided the school students and staff members with free counseling with Dr Sumaiyya, Dr Saif, Dr Soobiya, Dr Samreen, Dr Rooshi and department interns.
