iLEAD Academy’s Grand Launch: Celebrating Innovation and Industry-Academic Collaboration with Industry Pioneers
Kolkata : iLEAD, the Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, And Development, is thrilled to announce the launch of its executive education division, iLEAD Academy, on January 4th, 2023 at the iLEAD Campus, Kolkata.
iLEAD Academy is poised to empower lifelong learners, focusing on sectors such as sports, finance, tea industry, hospitality, lifestyle, tourism, and more. The academy offers three types of courses namely – Curated courses, Certified Diploma courses and Capsule courses designed to meet the unique needs of corporates, driving employee productivity, creating future leaders, and crafting customized learning journeys.
It is seldom that a panel comprises of established names from different industries, sitting together to discuss futuristic education policies, and their relevance to their respective industry.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the launch of five professional diploma courses that will be conducted in association with esteemed industry partners: Real Estate Management in association with PS Group, Sports Management in association with Protouch Sports, Digital Marketing Management in association with Eleven INC, Wealth Management in association with IIRWM, and Tea Management in association with Tea Vision Trust.
Distinguished dignitaries from relevant fields graced the occasion, engaging in insightful panel discussions: Mr. Pradip Chopra, Chairman, PS Group and iLEAD, Mr. Tapas Saha Professor, Corporate Trainer, and Domain Expert for Financial Planning and Wealth Management, Mr. Hemant Mediratta, Founder, One Rep Global, Mr. Indrajit Bhalotia, Founder, ProTouch Sports, Mr. Arun Narain Singh, Founder, Tea Vision Trust, Mr. Ashok Bhargava, Chairman, Tea Vision Trust, Mr. P K Bhattacharjee, Secretary General, Tea Association of India, Mr. Atul Asthana, Managing Director & CEO, Goodricke Group Ltd, Ms. Nayantara Palchoudhury, Chairperson, Tea Research Association, Mr. Arijit Raha, Secretary General, Indian Tea Association, Mr. Pranjal Neogi, HR Head, Goodricke Group Ltd and Mr. Rummy Anand, Managing Director of HMC, the moderator of the session.
During the panel discussions, Mr. Rummy Anand commended the formation of iLEAD Academy for delivering advanced professional learning.
Mr. Pradip Chopra spoke on the necessity for organizations to become learning organizations, emphasizing the crucial partnership between industry and academia.
Mr. Hemant Mediratta underscored the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industries, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
Mr. Indrajit Bhalotia discussed the role of technology in sports in the recent era, and also stressed how the sudden hit of the pandemic made us all think about our health through sports.
Mr. Tapas Saha explained the relevance of the offered courses and asked the individuals to go through continuous learning process to sustain in this dynamic and challenging industry. He heralded the new dawn in finance sector with the need for wealth managers growing due to the fast increase in number of millionnaires in the country citing numbers from the GDP.
Mr. Arun Narain Singh discussed Tea Vision Trust’s commitment to produce future leaders in specific industries, emphasizing their goal of providing trained professionals for the sector, supported by Mr. Atul Asthana and Mr. Sunil Singh Sikand. Mr. P.K. Bhattarcharjee, Mr. Arijit Raha and Mr. Joydeep Phukan spoke about advent of new technology like AI and how to incorporate these new technologies and practices to create an impact in the tea industry. Mr. Ashok Bhargava also spoke on how the courses having technological skills, management skills and latest digital platforms are going to impact individuals and corporations.
The event also witnessed the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between iLEAD Academy and the industry partners. A highly anticipated press conference followed, where panel members and dignitaries addressed questions from the audience and the press.
