Making career Covid proof
New Delhi, October 20: iMET Global signs MoU with UET Italy to strengthen its foothold in new age higher education by launching its PGP in Digital Social Media integrated with IoT & Big Data. It is the only program in India with an IVY League delivery structure at affordable fees conforming to the vision of Digital India and Aatmnirbhar Bharat.

This landmark MoU has special importance in these COVID times when the world is grappling with uncertainty, insecurity, and unemployment issues. Especially in the worst-hit industries like travel, tourism, hospitality, aviation, banking, event management, luxury, and lifestyle.

The joint program will help in saving the careers of millions of students who are stuck to nowhere by making them more future-ready to combat COVID challenges. Additionally, they will have new opportunities in new tech and digital-enabled sectors.

This MoU will also help Asian students especially Indian subcontinent to get global level new age specialized PGP qualification (an MBA equivalent) rather than settling for a conventional MBA at hefty fees with average placements.

iMET stands for innovation, Mentorship, Entrepreneurship, and Talent building– is a part of Pradurbhav Foundation for Skills & Social Development. Its emerging skills arm – iMET’s School of Digital Social Media & IoT was formally launched on April 2, 2011 at IIT Delhi. Since then, this not for profit section-8 entity has helped more than 65 institutes/colleges/corporates in imparting new-age skills in digital social media and trained more than 15000 students & professionals.

And now, with its international tie-up with UET Italy, iMET Global is all set to disrupt higher education space by directly entering in students education with its newly launched PGP in Digital Social Media & IoT. Interestingly it has been launched almost at the same time when the government has already rolled out its New Education Policy emphasizing the importance on skill-based education where conventional MBAs and similar courses have failed to meet industry expectations. Eventually, the increase in unemployability and higher education becoming just a fancy tag burning holes in the pocket of Indian middle-class parents.

The course duration is 1&2 years divided into 8 trimesters followed with Campus recruitment in the first-year itself. The course also provides dedicated sessions on creativity quotient (CQ) building and Spirituality Quotient ( SQ) building for holistic development and extraordinary professional success with a good work-life balance.

Commenting on the launch of the Program, Deepak Goel, CEO, iMET Global, said, “The program is designed with our proprietary frameworks, affordable fees, Mentors & Industry practitioners (not professors), professional on-demand mindset for holistic learning for students in the digital social media integrated with IoT and Big Data. The learners are exposed to exhaustive live industry simulation and internships to learn by doing and observing. We believe that the program will assist the learners to navigate through COVID uncertainty and build a strong future ahead with no compromise on learnings and placements including lateral placements of students with work experience”

The PGP adopts a realistic global approach of ‘Diversity in Delivery’ suitable for different sets of learners – freshers, experienced working professionals, business owners, and self-employed individuals or entrepreneurs. With the UET alliance, the PGP gives dual qualification edge to its learners & scholars to do 2 trimesters in Milan campus including one paid internship. All this comes at almost one third the fees of any conventional MBA and still making students more future-ready.
