Imperial College London: Poster prize awarded at RSC/SCI symposium on AMR

Janine attended the third SCI-RSC Symposium on Antimicrobial Drug Discovery on the 15 and 16 November and won the first place poster prize.

The conference coincided with the WHO’s Antibiotic Awareness week and provided an insight into the latest advances in antibiotic development and novel medicinal chemistry strategies to combat bacterial resistance mechanisms.

Janine’s poster highlighted current research, in collaboration with the Edwards lab from the Department of Infectious Disease, to tackle antibiotic resistance through inhibition of DNA damage repair mechanisms.
