Implementation of AHD scheme reviewed

Jammu: The progress on the implementation of key schemes of Animal husbandry sector in Jammu province was today reviewed here at a meeting chaired by Director Animal Husbandry Department Jammu, Ms. Vivek Sharma.
The meeting was attended by District Level Officers of AHD, senior functionaries of J&K Co-operative department & JKMPCL.
The meeting reviewed progress under Integrated Dairy development Scheme 2020-21, Special Drive for providing of all dairy farmers of Milk co-operatives and milk producers with Kissan Credit Cards (KCC’s), Pradhan Mantri Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Scheme, J&K poultry Policy, 2020 to attract Investment in Poultry and create employment opportunities.
The Director emphasized that the Govt. has accorded highest priority to these schemes with a sole objective to make the state self sufficient in milk & Milk products, as is evident from the components under these schemes. The modalities for the implementation of these schemes were discussed in detail so that the benefits percolate down the grassroots level to boost the rural economy.
The District officers were asked to mobilize the field staff & submit the progress made on this account on weekly basis.
