Implementation of customised livelihood generation scheme ‘MUMKIN’ reviewed in Doda

 

Doda: The implementation of customised livelihood generation scheme ‘MUMKIN’ was today reviewed here at a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kishori Lal Sharma.

The scheme is priority initiative of the government of J&K for providing gainful livelihood opportunities to the desirous and eligible unemployed individuals.

Under the scheme financial help shall be extended to the eligible youth for the purchase of small commercial vehicles. In the first phase, small commercial load carriers shall be provided to the eligible unemployed youth. Mission Youth shall contribute Rs 0.80 lakh or 10% of the on-road price of vehicle, whichever is minimum, per beneficiary.

The Vehicle manufacturer shall also provide an upfront discount to the extend not less than contribution by Mission Youth per beneficiary as special incentive.

The balance cost of vehicle will be provided by the bank as Mudra Loan.

The meeting was informed that around 80 eligible candidates have shown their interest in getting loan under MUMKIN scheme through google form circulated by DD&CC Doda.

The ADC stressed upon the concerned agencies to disseminate awareness about the MUMKIN scheme among the masses to encourage more individuals to take benefit of the same.
