IMS Ghaziabad Organized FDP on “How to Develop Student Engagement” by Expert from Dubai

Ghaziabad: In line with its endeavors for development of its faculty fraternity, IMS Ghaziabad, under the leadership of Director, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, organized Faculty Development Program on “How to Develop Student Engagement” on August 23, 2022.  The Expert Resource Speaker for the session  graced by the presence of Ms. Ruchi Goel, renowned Motivational Speaker & Life Skills Coach was Dr. Mohan Lal Agarwal, President, Indo Gulf Management Association, Dubai.   In her Inaugural Address, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, emphasized that the rich insights by the expert, who has rich international & national experience in diverse domains to his credit, will be instrumental in enhancing the intellectual quotient of the faculty fraternity of the Institute. Highlighting the innovative teaching learning pedagogy adopted by the Institute, she opined that “Exploration of pedagogical tools for enhanced student engagement should be the moral responsibility of each faculty.”

In the interactive session, the expert Dr. Mohan Lal Agarwal, traced the evolution of different avatars of the students and the importance of adopting an appropriate pedagogy in order to address the needs & interests of each. Inspiring the faculty delegates to customize their delivery as per the interests of their target audience, he further emphasized that “Don’t use the techniques which you like, rather use the techniques which are dominantly liked by the students.”

Coordinated by Dr. Radhika Malhotra, Dr. Parul Yadav & Dr. Pushpender Kumar, the FDP was instrumental in enabling the faculty fraternity to augment their teaching learning pedagogy and carve active, alert and dynamic management professionals of the future.
