IMS Ghaziabad Organized FDP on “Pedagogical Innovations for Effective Student Engagement” by Global Expert

Ghaziabad: IMS Ghaziabad organized a Faculty Development Program on “Pedagogical Innovations for Effective Student Engagement”. The Keynote Speaker for the session was Mr. Ashish Patel, Managing Director, Morgan Franklin Consulting, USA. In her Inaugural Address, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, emphasized that the rich insights by Mr. Patel, who has rich international & national experience in diverse domains to his credit, will be instrumental in enhancing the intellectual quotient of the faculty fraternity of the institute.

She further added that in a scenario replete with distractions from social media & technological gadgets coupled with shorter concentration spans of the students, the reflections shared by him will enable the faculty to initiate more experimentation in their classroom delivery.

Highlighting that education must be interactive; Mr. Ashish Patel inspired the faculty to be leaders in their classes rather than mere teachers. He dwelt on challenges like developing Teaching Leadership, lack of Academic Motivation, inclination on Theoretical Knowledge Transfer, Student Attendance, outdated Case Studies, Old Book Editions and many more while simultaneously sharing ways to address them for enhanced student engagement.

Coordinated by Dr. Radhika Malhotra & Dr. Anindita, the FDP enhanced the problem solving, critical thinking and solution oriented approach in the faculty team, thus enabling them to carve alert and active global leaders of tomorrow.
