IMS Ghaziabad Organized Weeklong Patriotic Celebrations of 75th Independence Day
Ghaziabad: Carrying forward the spirit of patriotism, IMS Ghaziabad celebrated India’s 76th Independence Day as “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” from August 11 – 17, 2022 with full fervour and vibrance under the patronage of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad.
The celebrations were graced by the august presence of Ms. Ruby Yadav, State Vice President, Mahila Morcha, BJP and Mr. Vinay Yadav. Speaking on the occasion, Director, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, commemorated the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and also emphasized on inculcating the unfaltering grit and patriotism for the country. Highlighting the critical role of students in taking the country forward, she motivated one and all to stride ahead and sincerely fulfil their respective duties towards themselves and the nation. Sensitizing the students towards the rich Indian tradition, Ms. Ruby Yadav inspired them to carry forward the culture and values of the country.
The budding leaders of the institute contributed towards their less privileged brethren through the socially driven initiative “Joy of Giving” in which the contributed items were distributed among the not so privileged street children of Noida in coordination with the noble Samaritan & covid warrior, Mr. Manpreet Mann thus bringing a smile on their faces. More than 130 units were collected in the “Blood Donation Camp” organized in association with MMG Hospital, Ghaziabad. An energetic “Nukkad Natak” on the theme of blood donation was also brilliantly performed by the students. Fulfilling its responsibility towards sustainability of future generations, the Institute organized “Tree Plantation Drive-Greener Earth” for preserving nature.
Proudy hoisting the National Flag and marching confidently to the resonant beats of “Saare Jahan se Achha”, the young minds showcased their patriotic fervour in thoughtfully crafted events of Online Slogan Writing & Presentation-Resolve & Actions@75; Poster Competition –Ideas @75. A vibrant cultural program was enthusiastically organized by the energetic PGDM students who showcased a colorful mix of songs, poetry and dance depicting patriotic themes. The student coordinators of different clubs were presented with badges in the “Investiture Ceremony”. The event witnessed a high octane environment full of energy and enthusiasm, brimming with the zealous participation of the students. The electrifying performances received standing ovations from one and all. The program ended with the National Anthem and appreciation of India’s strength of Unity in Diversity.
