IMS Ghaziabad Organizes Workshop on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development”
Ghaziabad: Carrying forward its endeavors to strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit of its budding managers, we are elated to share that under the inspiring leadership of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, the Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) of the institute organized a Workshop on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development” in association with Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML), Enterprise Incubation Centre (EIC), on July 13, 2022 for students of PGDM Batch 2022-24.
The session was conducted by the expert resource speakers from IIML, Mr. Pratik Sachdev, Manager Incubator; Mr. Tushar Singh, Program Manager and Ms .Pooja Pandey, Manager-HR & Training. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Urvashi Makkar emphasized that inculcating the entrepreneurial traits of creativity, innovation, risk taking, initiative is an essential must not just for those students who aspire to start their own ventures but also for each individual who wants to climb up the corporate ladder. Inspiring the young minds, she highlighted that “A small spark if ignited at the right time has the power to kindle an enormous fire”. Talking about the culture of innovation which is symbolic of IMS Ghaziabad, she encouraged the students towards entrepreneurship and apprised them about the multiple support systems available in the institute for enabling them to carry forward their unique ideas.
The experts explained pertinent details on Incubation System, Startup Ecosystem & Ideation along with the various players in the entrepreneurial arena to the inquisitive learners. Essential information on the support system available for promoting startups such as government organizations, funding agencies, training institutes, academic institutes, research organizations, service providers was also shared by them. Compered by Tanya Khanduli & Divyansh Singh and coordinated by Dr. Ajay Patel & Dr. Laxmi Pandey, the workshop was instrumental in inculcating the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation amongst the young minds.
