The students can be successful by incorporating innovation and creativity into their lives.” She reiterated, “You get what you dare to ask for in life.”
Dr. Suri said, “We know, that the world is changing: its technology, its climate, its social structures and boundaries are becoming more permeable. It takes no great predictive capacity to see what’s already true and to know that the individuals that we educate now are – world’s first truly global generation. More than any before them, they will live, study and work, make friends, marry, have families, across cultures and languages in an increasingly mobile and permeable world. It is our role as educated individuals to ensure that we are not bystanders but contributors to the development of society.”
Education sector now more than ever is far far far more significant due to agile knowledge sharing and will have greater and longer lasting consequences on our lives and livelihood in the decades to come. It is lifting hundreds of millions of people in our region to the standards of living and kinds of careers that we and our students expect and enjoy, and it is a massive stimulus to the global educational economy. Dr. Suri said, “Just think of the impact that so many millions of intelligent, motivated, aspirational and educated minds like you will have on the prospects of humanity: on scientific research, construction, urban planning, agriculture, manufacturing, computing, information technology, climate, science, renewable energy, law, politics, defence, art, music, literature, education itself; on every single field of endeavour that you could choose to enter.” She urged the students to contribute to the Society while working their way upwards in their careers.
During the event, Chief Guest Anil Bhasin encouraged the students and said, “Important for every student to have bravery and to keep pushing forward without fear. Success and failure are two sides of the same coin. It is not required to achieve success in every attempt; in fact, failure is a necessary component of success. If you keep trying and working hard, you will succeed.”
While commenting on the global economy, Dhruv Kumar Gupta said, “The pupils should think beyond the box and continue to improve their skills. I will urge the pupils to keep their lives simple in the future.”
