IMS UNISON UNIVERSITY 6th CONVOCATION CEREMONY November 19, 2022.

Dehradun, 19 November 2022 : The prestigious occasion of the 6th Convocation of IMS Unison University (IUU) held on November 19, 2022, witnessed a landmark celebration in which a total of 579 degrees and thirteen gold medals were conferred. Hon’ble Chancellor, IUU, Prof. Gurdip Singh was the Chief Guest of the Ceremony while Mr. A. K. Sharma, Chairman, Executive Committee, Bar Council of India was the Guest of Honor.

The academic achievers of Ph.D., LLM batch of 2021-22, MBA, MHM & MA (J&MC) batch of 2020-22, BALLB(H) & BBALLB(H) batch of 2017-22, BHM batch of 2018-22 and BBA, B.Com.(H), BA (J&MC), BA (H) Psychology & BA (H) English, batch of 2019-22 were felicitated.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Management was awarded to 4 recipients, these recipients were:

Gold Medals were awarded to 13 toppers of the various batches. It is interesting to note that 9 out of the total 13 gold medalists were girls. The gold medalists were:

The Annual Convocation began with the Academic Procession where the Chancellor Prof. Gurdip Singh, the Chairman, Board of Governors Shri Amit Agarwal, the Vice Chancellor Brigadier (Dr) M. Srinivasan, the Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Ravikesh Srivastava, Members of Board of Governors (BOG), Deans, and Members of the Academic Council walked through the aisle towards the Convocation venue.
The tone of the 6th Convocation was set by the rendition of the National Anthem. Prof. Gurdip Singh, Chancellor, IUU and the Chief Guest, declared the Convocation open. This was followed by the welcome address by Brigadier (Dr) M. Srinivasan, Vice Chancellor, IMS Unison University.
Brigadier (Dr) M. Srinivasan welcomed the Chief Guest, all other dignitaries, graduating students, their family members and media persons and expressed gratitude for their gracious presence on the sixth convocation. He congratulated all the 579 graduating students and wished them a bright future. He said that the watershed of a new journey has yet again been surmounted and a new chapter in life beckons the students, he hopes that they will continue to strive for excellence, service to society and a conviction to make the Nation proud. Brigadier (Dr) Srinivasan conveyed that the academic journey has only just commenced, as we must be lifelong learners. He expressed confidence in students’ ability to achieve excellence in life.
In his Convocation Address, the Chief Guest Hon’ble Chancellor, IUU Prof. Gurdip Singh congratulated the students for their academic achievements. He spoke about the shining reputation of the University and praised the hard work, devotion and contribution of the students. He also commended the dedication of the teachers and staff, and the vision of the administration, especially the Chairman for the heights the University has reached. He advised the students to remember the golden rule of life: “Honesty breeds Trust; Humility breeds greatness; Hard work breeds success. Whatever you plant now decides whatever you reap later.” He hopes that the graduates of the University can face the challenges of life confidently and contribute to the development of the state and the country. He wished great success to the graduating students in all future endeavors.
The Chief Guest also released the Souvenir on this auspicious occasion.
In his address, the Guest of Honor Mr. A. K. Sharma, Chairman, Executive Committee, Bar Council of India, congratulated the students and wished them success in building their careers. He said IMS Unison University has distinguished itself as an eminent institution for teaching and research in Business Management, Mass Communication, Law, Hotel Management and Liberal Arts over a short span of time. Mr. Sharma expressed confidence that the students would make
significant contributions in accelerating the pace of development in society and the nation through their knowledge, creative skills, enterprise, and hard work.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Col. Pranav Kumar, Registrar of the University and the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
The Convocation celebrated the determination and hard work of the students of IUU. The ceremony saw the presence of esteemed guests, media persons, students and proud parents of the graduating students. Throughout the programme, a sense of pride and achievement was palpable among the attendees.
