In close coordination with the MoE, UNESCO has been supporting MoE’s TV channel in the production of the additional lectures of the Iraqi curriculum

Since June 2020, in close coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Education (MoE), UNESCO has been supporting MoE’s TV channel in the production of the additional lectures of the Iraqi curriculum for non-final grades as a rapid response to the COVID-19 crisis in Iraq. MoE has been running the channel since 2010, this Education TV channel and the e-learning platform are playing a major role in serving students that have lost physical access to schools as well as the most marginalized and vulnerable children to have access to education at home. Thanks to the generous contribution from Educate A Child, a global programme of the Education Above All Foundation and the European Union, the monthly production of 376 lectures for different grades and subjects is on-going.
