On behalf of the head of the region, Artur Parfenchikov, a single volunteer center for helping firefighters has opened in Karelia.
It was created to coordinate the work of volunteers who help firefighters extinguish forest fires on the outskirts of settlements.
The United Center for volunteer assistance to firefighters of the republic is based in the “Boiling Point” space in Petrozavodsk. Anyone can leave an application and become a volunteer – the center will create a base of volunteers who are ready to help locally, systematically organize their work, and distribute resources in cooperation with the Ministry of Emergencies and district administrations.
The Center will also accept foodstuffs, essential goods, tools for extinguishing fires. They will be handed over to firefighters, volunteers and local residents. Acceptance of equipment and assistance is carried out from 9:00 to 18:00.

The unified center of volunteer assistance to firefighters is headed by an experienced public figure, director of the Karelian Regional Youth Center Eduard Khokhlov.
The organizers of the headquarters were the Karelian Regional Youth Center, the All-Russian Popular Front, the regional branch of the Victory Volunteers, and the regional branch of the Medical Volunteers.
