Inaugural ceremony of 6th ICSM at Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Tarragonna, Spain

The inaugural ceremony of 6^th International Conference on Soft Materials (ICSM 2024) was held on 18^th of November 2024 at Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Tarragonna, Spain. Prof. N. P. Padhy, President SMRS and Director MNIT Jaipur, Prof.  Josep Pallarès, Rector of Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Patrons of the conference) welcomed the participants along with Dr. Kamlendra Awasthi, MNIT Jaipur (Chairperson of ICSM) and Prof.  Eduard Llobet, Universitat Rovira I Virgili (Chairperson of ICSM). The conference has 17 Keynote lectures, 49 invited talks from more than 10 countries including Spain, Germany, India, South Korea, Belgium, USA, Netherland, Poland, France, Mexico etc.

The first day of the conference started with Keynote talk of Prof. Andreas Fery from IPF, Dresden, Germany where he discussed about the elastomers and their application in sensing and environmental areas.

Prof. Katja Loos, from University of Groningen delivered a talk on metallic gyroid structures and their applications.

The sessions of the conference are focused on the experimental and theoretical areas of soft matter.
