“Inauguration of BRABU Inter College Badminton Tournament Sets the Stage for Sporting Excitement”
BRA Bihar University hosted a selection camp in preparation for the upcoming Chancellor Cup Kabaddi Tournament, set to take place from October 15 in Patna. The event attracted significant participation, with over 150 players from 18 colleges vying for a spot on the university team.The selection camp was organized to provide a platform for talented athletes to demonstrate their skills and secure their place in the competitive tournament. Coaches and selectors were present to evaluate the players based on their performance, teamwork, and dedication to the sport.Participants engaged in various drills and matches, showcasing their agility, strength, and strategic thinking, essential attributes for success in kabaddi. The enthusiasm among the players was palpable, reflecting their eagerness to represent their colleges and the university on a larger stage.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, personally overseeing selection trials and training camps for an event like the Chancellor Cup Kabaddi Tournament affirmed that BRABU is dedicated to creating a vibrant sports culture among its students, ensuring they are encouraged to engage in various sporting activities. He said that the university is implementing several measures to support this vision, including organizing inter-college competitions, providing access to training facilities, and facilitating coaching programs in various sports. Vice Chancellor Prof. Rai further said BRABU continues to align itself with national and state-level initiatives, the focus remains on creating an environment that prioritizes the importance of sports and encourages every student to contribute to a thriving athletic culture on campus. Vice-Chancellor Prof.Rai said that a rigorous selection process has concluded, leading to the formation of the university’s Kabaddi team. Following the selection trials, a dedicated seven-day training camp is now scheduled to fine-tune the team’s skills and strategies. VC Prof. Rai expressed optimism and confidence in the team’s abilities, highlighting the dedication and talent displayed during the selection process. Anticipation is high as the university team gears up to represent their university on the Kabaddi court, He added.
In an another sporting event of the university, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai Inaugurated Inter-College Badminton Tournament at RDS College. Addressing the participants VC Prof. Rai emphasized the importance of sports in building teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. He inspired the athletes to give their best and reminded them that participation is as valuable as winning. “Sports not only build physical strength but also enhance mental resilience,” he stated.
