Inauguration of Newly Renovated Basketball Complex at MNIT Jaipur by Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan Kalraj Mishra

Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, witnessed a momentous occasion on January 25, 2024, as the Honorable Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Kalraj Mishra, inaugurated the newly renovated state-of-the-art basketball complex in the Institute campus. The distinguished event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. N.P Padhy, Director, MNIT Jaipur. The inauguration commenced with a warm welcome extended to the Honorable Governor, where he was greeted with a traditional Saafa tying ceremony by Prof. Padhy. The highlight of the ceremony was the unveiling of the foundation stone of the newly renovated basketball complex by Shri Kalraj Mishra, accompanied by solemn holy and religious activities. The symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Honorable Governor and Professor Padhy marked the official opening of the complex. Prof. Padhy extended a token of appreciation by presenting a memento to respected Governor Shri Kalraj Mishra expressing gratitude on his visit. Prof. M.M. Sharma, Registrar MNIT Jaipur, Deans and Heads of various Departments were also present during the inaugural ceremony. Mr. Mishra interacted with dignitaries, faculty members, and students, fostering a sense of camaraderie and unity.
MNIT students participated in friendly matches in the gracious presence of Shri Kalraj Mishra in the newly inaugurated basketball court. The event featured spirited competitions, with both male and female students showcasing their prowess on the basketball court. Shri Kalraj Mishra congratulated Prof. Padhy on this occasion and motivated the students to perform their best. As a token of commitment to environmental sustainability, the inauguration concluded with tree plantation by Shri Kalraj Mishra and Prof. N. P. Padhy near the sports ground.
