Inauguration of State-of-the-Art Astronomy Lab at Karnataka Public School, Adugodi, Bengaluru

 

Bangalore  ─ Karnataka Public School in Adugodi proudly announces the inauguration of its state-of-the-art Astronomy Lab, a collaborative effort between STEM Learning and Bringing Smiles Foundation, the CSR arm of Brillio. This cutting-edge facility is poised to provide students and teachers with a unique and engaging platform to delve into the wonders of astronomy.

 

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Ramalinga Reddy Sir, Karnataka Transport Minister, who unveiled the lab and engaged in a meaningful interaction with the students. Adding to the occasion, Mr. Abhishek Ranjan, Senior Director & Global Head, Administration, ESG, EHS, CSR, and D&I at Brillio Technologies Pvt Ltd, shared insights on the vital role of promoting STEM education and digital literacy, especially among underprivileged children and youth.

 

The Astronomy Lab is an integral part of STEM Learning’s flagship program, the Mini Science Centre (MSC), successfully implemented in over 2,000 schools across India and has catered to more than 10 lakh students and 4,000 teachers. The MSC program incorporates interactive models, experiments, and charts aligned with the school curriculum, making learning fun and easy.

 

“This inauguration is an exciting milestone with Brillio Technologies and STEM Learning. The Bringing Smiles program, in partnership with STEM Learning, has supported the installation of an Astronomy Lab, empowering over 1000 students at Karnataka Public School in Adugodi, Bangalore. This initiative aims to familiarize students with the wonders of space and its concepts, including the observation of objects such as faraway galaxies and tiny particles through telescopes and other instruments. The program also includes engaging sky-watching sessions in collaboration with Government schools. CSR initiatives of this nature deserve continued support from companies engaged in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), as they play a pivotal role in advancing education and creating meaningful impact,” said Sri Ramalinga Reddy, Minister of Transport, Karnataka.
