Bengaluru – Advanced Leadership Program in Infrastructure & Construction (ALPIC), a one-year hybrid program developed jointly by InCoBAN, a leading Bengaluru-based construction industry improvement ecosystem and the prestigious Singapore Management University’s (SMU) Executive Development is set to commence from June 2024. The program welcomes applications from aspiring professionals across India, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

ALPIC offers a blend of online and offline sessions, spanning four terms and adopts a hybrid model, featuring a 6-day continuous residency program in India, starting in Bengaluru.  The program aims to bridge leadership gaps in the infrastructure sector and cultivate a new generation of industry leaders equipped with advanced skills and knowledge.

ALPIC is tailored for infrastructure professionals with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, catering to a diverse range of sectors including Central and State governments, multilateral organisations, financial institutions, public and private sector corporations, NGOs, political and social organisations, and academia.

With unwavering commitment to excellence, Singapore Management University Executive Development (SMU-ExD) ensures a superior learning experience by providing distinguished faculty support throughout the program. Each term, senior faculty members from SMU-ExD will contribute their expertise, enriching the educational journey of ALPIC participants. Additionally, SMU-ExD offers comprehensive student services, associate alumni status, library access, and a dedicated Learning Management System, empowering students with the resources they need to succeed.

SMU-ExD will leverage its global recognition to promote the program, enhancing its visibility and reach across diverse markets and industries.

The Residency fosters invaluable networking opportunities and collaborative group projects, essential for holistic learning and development. Graduates of ALPIC will receive a certificate jointly recognised by both SMU-ExD and InCoBAN, enhancing their professional credentials and marketability.

“The industry is grappling with skills mismatch especially at the leadership level, as there is a scarcity of adequate educational infrastructure training programs. ALPIC aims to play the role of a catalyst that helps bridge the gap and transforms participants into effective change agents with a forward-thinking approach,” said Eddie Tritton, Executive Director, SMU Executive Development, Singapore Management University.

Bhagya S. Nair, Co-Founder, InCoBAN, said, Creating durable infrastructure involves striking a delicate equilibrium between social, economic, environmental, and institutional sustainability. ALPIC prioritises bridging the gap between technical and social sciences, aspiring to cultivate leaders equipped to navigate global disruptions. Emphasising an integrative approach, ALPIC seeks to incorporate socio-economic factors into infrastructure development.”
