India, Bahrain discuss future cooperation on Skilling during MoS Muraleedharan’s Visit
Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan arrived in Bahrain on Thursday for a two-day visit, during which he discussed avenues of future cooperation between the two nations with Bahraini Minister of Labour Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan. During their meeting, Muraleedharan and Humaidan focused on skilling and expressed gratitude for the welfare of Indian workers and professionals in Bahrain.
MOS Muraleedharan also met with Osama Bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, Minister of Social Development of Bahrain, to discuss matters of common interest and to thank the Kingdom’s support to the Indian community. In another meeting, MOS Muraleedharan held discussions with the Undersecretary for Political Affairs of Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, to discuss various aspects of the wide-ranging partnership, regional and multilateral developments.This is the Minister’s second visit to Bahrain, having last visited in August 2021. He will also hold discussions with various Bahraini dignitaries and meet Indian community organizations and Indians working in different sectors.
As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), the Ministry of External Affairs also announced that Muraleedharan will inaugurate the Indo-Bahrain Dance and Music Festival, which is being organized by Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam and the Embassy of India with the support of Bahrain Authority for Culture andAntiquities
