India is committed to reduce its aggregate greenhouse gas emissions by one billion tonnes by 2030: Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh

Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has said that India is committed to reduce its aggregate greenhouse gas emissions by one billion tonnes by 2030.
Dr Singh said this while inaugurating the three day International Conference on Systems Analysis for Enabling Integrated Policy Making in New Delhi today.
He said, India is also decreasing its dependency on fossil fuels by 50 per cent of the total consumption in 2030. The Minister said, India has been traditionally vulnerable to natural disasters on account of its unique geo-climate conditions.
