New Delhi: The India-Oxford Initiative (IndOx) at the University of Oxford under its collaboration with Krea University, in partnership with LEAD at Krea, is all set to host its first-ever ‘Impact Film Competition’. The overall impact theme of the competition is Mental Health with the aim to shed light on the various perspectives of mental health. Aspiring young filmmakers between the age of 18-25, with a passion for the cause, are encouraged to share, document and raise awareness on any of the following aspects that impact Mental Health — Social Relationships; Gender Orientation; Work and Life; Body Image.

The winning proposal will bag funding of INR 1 Lac towards the creation of the film, in addition to one-to-one mentorship support provided by the competition’s Managing and Mentorship Partner — The Misfits Co. Together, the winner and the mentorship group will exhaustively pursue the production of the proposed concept, transforming the winning narrative into a short film adhering to a 5-10 minute duration.

The award will be granted based on the relevance of the proposed concept, clear reflection of the objective, creative history, social impact and the ability of the aspiring filmmaker to tell a visually compelling narrative.
