Indian Air-Force motivated LPU Students to join it

 

Jalandhar: As a part of its induction publicity programme, Indian Air-Force (IAF) personnel visited Lovely Professional University along with Induction Publicity Exhibition Vehicle (IPEV) and motivated thousands of LPU students to have bright career with IAF. Under the programme ‘Touch the Sky with Glory’, IAF had aimed to interact intensively with LPU students for enhancement of students’ awareness about IAF and to provide them guidance on career opportunities. The IPEV showcased all career related aspects, life and training of IAF, its assets, flying simulation and experience of various other IAF activities. For this, many officers from the Air Head Quarters of the Indian Air Force, New Delhi, had specially visited LPU campus, where 5000+ students understood the enchanting endeavours of IAF.
During ‘Seminar on Job Avenues in IAF, Wing Commander Sangeeta Kathait apprised students that IAF wishes to provide them opportunity to serve in IAF. While explaining about Light Combat Air-Craft ‘Tejas’, Air Surveillance, mission of IAF and more; she also interacted with LPU students and informed that through IAF they would have unique opportunity not only to build a glorious career but also serve the country in a chivalrous and dignified manner.
IAF Flight Lieutenants Vikas P, Rahul Chauhan and Flying Officer K Udai Kiran helped students experience flying simulation, parachute usage and many other interesting and glorious facets of dignified IAF life. Through IPEV and other audio-visual aids, IAF team gave detailed presentations to students about IAF and joining it. Starting from submitting the application till training, final year students of different streams were told about the entire process regarding recruitment in the IAF. Prior to this, illustrious ranks at Division of Career Services at LPU, including Dr Harpal Thethi, Monica Sandhu, had welcomed IAF officers on their special reaching at the campus.
Fifth semester student of CSE programme at LPU, Suysha Aggarwal shared that it indeed remained a unique opportunity for her to know the gallantry tales about IAF. After experiencing flying simulation, she was filled with great enthusiasm to join IAF. Seventh semester student of ME, Siddhant; Ankit Jha of EEE; Aditi of BBA; Atul of Hotel Mangement and many other students of different streams expressed unanimously that IAF team elaborated about each and every aspect of IAF. They were thankful to the LPU Division of Career Services, which keeps on efforts to provide students excellent career opportunities.
