Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri naugurated new Building of Nepal Bhasha Parishad
The newly constructed building of Nepal Bhasha Parishad in Kathmandu has been inaugurated during the visit of Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. The building was built with the support of the Government of India under the post-earthquake reconstruction grant. Indian Foreign Secretary Misri and Maniram Gelal, secretary at the Ministry of Urban Development, jointly inaugurated the building on Sunday.
Indian Foreign Secretary Misri arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday for a two-day official visit upon the invitation of Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal.
“Nepal and India have centuries-old civilizational, cultural and people-to-people relations,” Misri said while inaugurating the building.
With the support of the Indian government, large infrastructure and connectivity projects have been completed in Nepal, and new projects have been initiated, accelerating high-level exchanges, and bilateral cooperation between the two countries has strengthened in recent years.
