Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya organized its flagship fest “Elegante 5.0”

Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya organized its flagship fest “Elegante 5.0” starting from 11th March to 13th March of 2022. Elegante is a dedicated effort of all the clubs and committees of the institute. Students come together to organize and participate in many entertaining and educational competitions. The fest was organized on an online mode and was open for inter institute participation. This year’s event was sponsored by many big companies and banks, the title was sponsored by SBI and co-sponsored by UBI. The event was organized under the guided supervision of Dr. Soumya Prakash Patra, the Student Affairs Chairperson.

The event was announced by Dr. Vinita S. Sahay, director, IIM Bodh Gaya. She welcomed all the students, chief guest and all the participating and organizing faculty members. Appreciating the efforts of all the students who contributed towards organizing the event, she wished luck for carrying forward a successful event and the IIM legacy. Dr. Sahay also welcomed and thanked the chief guest for his presence. The inaugural event witnessed pujya Daaji, Mr. Kamlesh Patel from The Heartfulness Center for an informative session on ‘Mindfulness and Spirituality” organized by the Cultural Committee, IM Bodh Gaya. Addressing all questions asked by students, Mr. Patel talked about modern day problems in student life and their probable solutions. He added that for a student it is very common to be confused while making a decision but “if heart is listened to” no judgements can be wrong. His session was followed by a guided meditation where he helped students to concentrate and relax.
Dr. Patra also extended his vote of thanks to the chief guest and all the students who contributed to make it a successful event.

The event also witnessed the presence of Mr. Vivek Jain, Co-Founder, Hire Tale as a guest speaker for a webinar organized by HRise, the HR Club, IIM Bodh Gaya. Mr. Jain spoke on “Reshaping Talent Acquisition and Hiring” and mentioned the changing and diverse role played by the HR professionals in the covid times. Stressing on the point that it is no more about “one pager CV or a job description” he mentioned that there are technological changes that are taking place in the industry which has brought major changes in the HR industry as well. He gave many useful tips to the students and answered their curious questions. Samatvam, the Mindfulness Center of IIM Bodh Gaya also organized two very informative webinars during the entire event. While the first day saw the presence of Dr. Matthew Lippincott, Vice President, Daniel Goleman Emotional Intelligence Coaching and Training Programs addressed the issues of “Mindfulness in Business”, the second day was attended by Dr. Rajendra Barve, Consultant Psychiatric and Mindfulness Coach whose session was around “Mind Your Stress Mindfully”. Many other Clubs and Committees, including Masq, the Marketing Club IIM Bodh Gaya, STRACON, the Strategy Club, IIM Bodh Gaya, OPISM, the operations Club of the institute to name a few, also held webinars, engaging quizzes and competitions on D2C platform that attracted a lot of participation by many enthusiastic students.

The highlight of the event remained the “Star Night” organized by the Cultural Committee of the institute. The institute was honored by the presence of Ms. Shaona Khan and Ms. Simran Choudhary, two very talented and rising singing sensations of the country. Both the guests not only sang beautiful and kept the students entertained but also shared their life experiences and their inspirations. All the participating students enjoyed the event and left with happy smiling faces.
