Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, Times Professional Learning announce Post Graduate Certificate Programme in General Management
The year-long programme in its second year is aimed at managers to understand management functions, develop future-ready managerial skills, and competencies in cross-functional areas.
New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management Kashipur and Times Professional Learning (TPL), under its brand The Second Wind (TimesTSW), has announced the admissions of their second batch of Post Graduate Certificate Programme in General Management to provide a holistic understanding of the management functions and aimed at building and sustaining a successful business.
The Post Graduate Certificate Programme in General Management (PGCGM) from IIM Kashipur is a one-year programme developed for aspiring general managers to enhance their managerial skills in a fast-changing business environment. The programme is instrumental to learn and exhibit skills during various simulation and communication workshops. It will address challenges by learning future-ready managerial skills and build competencies across cross-functional areas.
The programme will assist early to mid-career level executives who wish to advance their careers and acquire managerial skills to build capabilities to address future challenges by integrating quality leadership and swift decision making. The programme enhances the skills for learners across disciplines such as finance, economics, marketing, human resource management, operations and decision sciences, strategic management, among others.
The course will mould general managers to the requirements of Industry 4.0 with qualities of innovation, entrepreneurship, inclusivity etc. and open doors for career advancement to handle various business situations. This strategic thinking will enable general managers to upskill their profiles and increase their competitive edge in scaling up their careers.
Speaking on the announcement of the programme, Prof. Atulan Guha, Associate Professor, Economics, and Programme Coordinator, PGCGM, Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur said, “The Post Graduate Certificate Programme in General Management at IIM Kashipur will help learners develop their business skills and build competencies to meet the aspirations and challenges of Industry 4.0. Applicants who have completed a diploma (10+2+3), degree, or two-year master’s degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in any discipline along with a minimum of two years of work experience will be eligible for the course. The Applicants who complete the programme successfully will receive a certificate and the Executive Education Alumni Status of IIM Kashipur. The pedagogy will include lectures, case discussions, project work, term papers, assignments, etc. The programme involves an on-campus immersive session with simulation and communication workshops (presentation) to enhance the learner’s experiences.
