Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli: Nodal Institution for Tamil Nadu in Yuva Sangam
The Ministry of Education has selected the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli as the nodal institution for Tamil Nadu state, with IIIT Kota as its paired institute in the Yuva Sangam (Phase-III). Yuva Sangam is a pioneering initiative of the Government of India under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program. It aims to strengthen the connections of Indian youth by providing multi-dimensional exposure to various facets of life.
Yuva Sangam
A remarkable initiative by the Government of India, Yuva Sangam primarily targets youth from different parts of the nation, facilitating meaningful connections between states and cultivating a sense of belonging and unity amongst its participants. As part of this exchange program, young participants from various states will embark on 5-7 days’ journeys to other states, allowing them to better understand the host state’s culture, traditions, and development.
The Yuva Sangam Phase-III, in particular, emphasises conducting exposure tours for young trailblazers, primarily comprising students from Higher Educational Institutions and young off-campus individuals nationwide. These tours promise a deep, multi-dimensional experience of various aspects of life, development landmarks, recent achievements, and, most importantly, a meaningful youth connection in the host state. These experiences are categorised under five broad areas: Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Paraspar Sampark (People-to-People Connect), and Prodyogiki (Technology).
IIM Trichy is honoured to be selected as the nodal institution for the Tamil Nadu state, and we look forward to contributing to the success of Yuva Sangam (Phase III). This initiative aligns with our commitment to provide holistic education and youth development. We are excited to host students from the state of Rajasthan and provide them with an unforgettable experience that will not only broaden their horizons but also foster a deeper sense of unity and understanding among the youth of our great nation.
