Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli Successfully completes Final Placements of PGP 2020-22 and Summer Placements of PGP 2021-23
It is with great pride that IIM Tiruchirappalli announces the successful completion of the Placement season for the academic year 2021-22 for both Summer Placements (Batch of 2021-23) and Final Placements (Batch of 2020-22) of the Post-Graduate Program (PGP) in Management and Post-Graduate Program in Human Resources (PGPM HR). This academic year, the institute witnessed a historic placements season with a significant jump in the median packages in both summers as well as final placements. The sustained efforts of the various stakeholders of the institute coupled with the diverse educational and work experience background of the talent pool has made IIM Tiruchirappalli a preferred destination for recruiters across sectors.
Final Placements: PGPM & PGPM HR 2020-22
IIM Tiruchirappalli yet again made its mark among the leading B Schools in the country by achieving a feat of 100% placements for its 10th Batch of PGPM and the first ever batch of PGPM-HR by nurturing a diverse pool of talent and strengthening the trust of our recruiters. A total of 228 offers were made by 110 companies that participated in the Final Placement process across various domains of Sales & Marketing, Finance, Consulting, IT & Analytics, Operations, and HR. This year, the institute attracted diverse roles across segments such as Consulting and Finance reflecting the trust of recruiters in the institute.
Some of the top companies that strengthened their alliance with IIM Tiruchirappalli as regular recruiters were JP Morgan & Chase, McKinsey, Bain & Company, HSBC, Yes Bank, Avalon Consulting, Deloitte, Godrej, NatWest, ICICI, Ultratech, Schindler, TresVista, Tiger Analytics, TATA AIG, Cognizant, Stovekraft, HashedIn by Deloitte, BNY Mellon, Kantar. New recruiters forging relations with the institute for top B School talent this year across sectors included Nomura, Samsung, Amazon, Accenture, Wells Fargo, IBM, CRISIL, Thoucentric, Reliance Retail, Capgemini, Oxane, Adani Wilmar, Axis Bank, Chargebee, ABFRL, and several others.
The average annual compensation stood at ₹ 17.01 Lakhs with the highest compensation at ₹ 34 Lakhs for PGPM. The respective figures for PGPMHR stood at ₹ 13.35 Lakhs and ₹ 17.6 Lakhs respectively. There has been an increase in the average annual compensation by 15% and a 23% increase in the PPOs offered to the students. This year also saw an increase in the average annual compensation of 30% in the Sales & Marketing segment.
Summer Placements: PGPM & PGPM HR 2021-23
IIM Tiruchirappalli had a total of 115 companies participate in the placement process. They made 238 offers for roles across various domains of Sales & Marketing, Finance, Consulting, IT & Analytics, Operations, and HR. The average stipend stood at ₹ 1,10,752 with the highest stipend at ₹ 2,50,000 for PGPM. The respective figures for PGPMHR stood at ₹ 51,478 and ₹ 1,50,000 respectively. The institute saw a 35% increase in the number of companies visiting us for summer placements, reinforcing IIM Tiruchirappalli’s position as one of the premier business schools in the country.
The campus saw regular recruiters such as JP Morgan & Chase, Microsoft, McKinsey, HSBC, Yes Bank, TAFE, Avalon Consulting, Deloitte, Godrej, Saint-Gobain, BPCL, TAFE, NatWest, ICICI, Ultratech, Sesa Care, Schindler, and new recruiters such as Morgan Stanley, Bain & Company, Amagi, Genpact, SKF India, Abbott, Airtel, ABFRL, IBM, Dalmia Bharat, Amco Batteries, Bosch, L&T, Xiaomi, CRISIL, AkzoNobel and many more offering coveted profiles for an internship position across various domains.
