Indian Medical Aspirants Are Invited to Attend Mini Med Program by St. George’s University, in Association with Ramaiah Group of Institutions in India
Bengaluru : St. George’s University (SGU), Grenada, will hold its 2-day “Mini Med Program” from 19 to 20 June 2023, in association with Ramaiah Group of Institutions. This 2-day program is specifically designed to provide students from Classes 11 and 12 with a unique opportunity to explore the possibilities and prospects within the medical field.
Since 2019, SGU has successfully been organizing the Mini Med Program, supporting prospective students by integrating academic and practical applications, providing insights into medical education, and enabling them to learn about various topics they could encounter in a medical school. The program aims to help students decide whether they are interested in pursuing a career in medicine, offering opportunities to meet faculty members and fellow peers to gain a competitive advantage as they plan their higher education in medicine.
Students who enrol in the program will obtain an understanding of fundamental concepts like the history of medicine, anatomical terminologies, the human nervous system, mental health, medical ethics, and emergency medicine. They will learn valuable information during innovative and interactive lectures while gaining hands-on training through patient simulations and lab work. These sessions allow students to develop practical skills and build meaningful relationships for the future.
“Aspiring medical students would benefit from having a fair understanding of what the life of a doctor entails. The Mini Med Program aims to educate the students on the various aspects they will encounter as part of their curriculum as well as provide an insightful overview of potential career options in the field of medicine. Through this program, we strive to provide all participants with clarity on what lies ahead in terms of their educational journey and vocational endeavours” said Dr. Shalini Sivanajiah, Associate Dean at Ramaiah International Medical School.
Students who successfully finished the Mini Med Program will receive a certificate of completion.
